Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Darkman may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. Categorizing

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. When adding categories to a page, please use the most specific categories. For example, Category:American action thriller films is a subcategory of Category:American action films, so you don't need to add Category:American action films. For exceptions and more info see Wikipedia:CAT#Categorizing_pages. Happy editing. Paradoctor (talk) 00:23, 23 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Collateral Genre

[edit]

Tomwikiman, please stop editing the genre for the film Collateral. The film is not an action movie; it's a crime thriller. You are involved with pointless WP:3RR, and I suggest the edit should be kept as a crime thriller. - Theironminer (talk) 12:32 AM, 22 July, 2014

Tomwikiman, you seem to be changing a lot of films from thrillers to action films. You never stop to discuss your changes. If this continues, you may be blocked from editing. There may still be time for you to respond to the complaint at WP:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Tomwikiman reported by User:Theironminer (Result: ). What you are doing is called 'genre warring.' Since you seem to have no other interests, if you don't stop you may be indefinitely blocked. EdJohnston (talk) 02:58, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for coming out, EdJohnston. Don't worry about the blocking, he's already been reported and I'm awaiting a response. - Theironminer (talk) 9:21 AM, July 29, 2014 — Preceding undated comment added 13:21, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Tomwikiman, you seem to have stopped changing movie genres at least for now, so I have closed the 3RR report without action. Please use article talk pages to get consensus for any further genres that you believe need fixing. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 00:23, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Jurassic Park (film) may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Removal of references

[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Strange Days (film), you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. MarnetteD|Talk 17:58, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding continued genre changing without discussion or sources. If you choose to continue, as you did at Léon: The Professional, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. MarnetteD|Talk 18:00, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:04, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please note

[edit]

Hello T. Thank you for the barnstar. Please note that per WP:BURDEN new entries to articles like the genres that you want to add to an article need to come with a reliable source that verifies that film is considered to be part of that genre. In other words it isn't what you or I think the film is - it is what WP:SECONDARY sources say it is. Learning how to edit here can be tricky. You can always as for assistance at the WP:HELPDESK or at the WP:TEAROOM. MarnetteD|Talk 02:38, 1 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
