class evaluation

[edit]

Hello, I'm your peer reviewer for class. Vera Mae Green looks good. I think you could add in more links to other wiki pages. Maybe expand on what exactly a Carribeanist is. On the ABA website http://aba.americananthro.org/vera-mae-green-1928-1982/ there's a list of her work and it may be worthwhile to look them up online and get a better feel for her expertise and areas of interest within Carribbean cultures. Also the information in the sections you have now area bit repetitive but I think with more research that should no longer be so apparent. Bd7941a (talk) 20:24, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that external links should be placed at the bottom of articles, not at the top.★Trekker (talk) 09:47, 14 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Brief quotes on notable biographies

[edit]

Hi Uptan, Quotes can and are being used in articles. I brought a link where you may read about the use of quotes in articles. See here:[1] If you need any help, or have any questions please contact me on my talk page. Antonioatrylia (talk) 17:30, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I've always been told that they should generally be avoided, huh, the more you know.★Trekker (talk) 17:32, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Uptan. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
