Source for data in File:USGompertzCurve.svg?
[edit]I like this graph you posted. It's clear. I would like to document the source data more exactly on the File page, but had trouble tracing it. It could have been from column 2 of Table 1 of United States Life Tables, 2003, on page 8, as implied by the captions in the article that use the graph, but that data shows a decline each year from age 0 to age 10 then an increase every year till age 21 and the graph doesn't. Maybe the issue is that there isn't a data point for each year; if so, age 10 would be a desirable point to include to show the minimum. Could you advise? -- Econterms (talk) 23:54, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
The numbers are based on column 1, Table B, page 3. I preferred that 5-year cohorts at the time. I can make a similar one for the 1-year cohort data also.

Sourcing
[edit]Please see WP:USERGENERATED - forums and wikis are generally not reliable sources, and fandom wikis are unreliable per WP:FANDOM. Waxworker (talk) 20:29, 28 June 2023 (UTC)
- Well, what's in doubt? If it's an issue about dates, I'm sure we can find some middle ground. As for the specific edit history, this is a notoriously difficult problem in citation and scholarship. We know Disney has edited Toy Tinkers in some forms to remove the guns, but documenting that is challenging. Even with starwars, it's been very difficult, and that fanbase is supplying allot more umph.
- I think what needs including is some acknowledgement of the existence of this introductory scene, and some basic information that can help people find it on their own if they are interested. Uscitizenjason (talk) 15:20, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Toy Tinkers. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Please see WP:BURDEN - "nobody has yet identified a reliable citation to confirm this" means that it shouldn't be on the article until there are citations Waxworker (talk) 06:58, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
