Happy editing! Justin, you should be aware of WP:COI and WP:SPAM. Also WP:CAPTION. Please don't around adding random images (not very well-captioned) to large general articles, nor remove existing galleries. Johnbod (talk) 12:27, 27 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

Hi there. I notice you've been adding a lot of images to Wikipedia lately. Firstly thank you for your contributions. One thing to bear in mind though, is that Wikipedia isn't just a repository of random images. The images must add encycloapedic value to the article, and must be relevant to the text they are being placed around. I've reverted some of your edits as they were just random image insertions into the articles that A) added nothing to the article and B) weren't relevant to the section they were added to. Additionally you should be careful not to replace images already in articles with your own images, this could be construed as showing favouritism just because it's your own image. An item you should reference is the MOS:IMAGES which is Wikipedia's policy on images in articles.

One more thing. If you have a connection to the Hunt Museum, which it seems clear you do, then you need to declare a Conflict of Interest in line with our WP:COI policies. The page linked will tell you what processes you need to follow and what restrictions etc would be in place.

Thank you and welcome to Wikipedia. Canterbury Tail talk 13:12, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
