New page
[edit]I just saw this, and it appears that you want to write about a band, and it appears that it got deleted. Are you the same person as User:Astari Nite (band) who was blocked by @Orangemike: 5 days ago? If you are (and [1] suggests you might be), that could be a problem. To create an article, you need to show that they have had significant, independent coverage from reliable sources, per WP:GNG and WP:BAND. I'd recommend using Wikipedia:Article wizard to create an article. Joseph2302 (talk) 23:01, 24 June 2015 (UTC)

life would forever be changed their music. It has inspired me to begin painting again and even to make a humble attempt of making this article for wikipedia, I had many times searched for information about them them there and was surprised to not find a mention of them, in Wikipedia. I do hope you give me the opportunity to write my few words and share them with the world I have spent many hours trying to work with the wiki template and editing since I was born in 1970 and am by no means of the information era generation, it's just a bit more difficult for me. And putting my best efforts forward I created my proposed article with many links to resources and publications that can colaborate my article. Please reconsider my request to publish my favorite Miami Band article, I don't want any recognition just to put my research forward, as you can see I have kept the article very cold compared to how I feel about these guys and their work abiding by the non
opinion rule but messing up in creating a username in their name. Please accept my sincere apologies for braking this rule and consider my actions just out of ignorance and humility I do realize what a foolish mistake that was. thank you editor for your valued time and hopefully your understanding VeronicaAstaridreams (talk) 18:10, 27 June 2015 (UTC)Accept reason:

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Astaridreams. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Astari Nite, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Missvain (talk) 06:58, 23 July 2015 (UTC) Please explain what you mean by getting compensated? I work in the financial industry for a large corporation that has nothing to do with my interest in music and my appreciation for new sounds and artist, one more time I have no close relationship to any band memeber, I dont know where they live or their phone #'s just what I have researched onlne and me going to their concerts, how is that a conflict of interest? I asked them if I could venture into this project in facebook and the lead singer agrred, is all, I don't need any compensation from anyone, just wanted to share something I find interesting is allAstaridreams (talk) 16:56, 23 July 2015 (UTC) this assumtion realy is kind of unnecesary I can prove that I have for worked for this financial institution for 18 plus years now, just tell me what to do, Astaridreams (talk) 17:01, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

please let me know what I am doing wrong? I am trying my best to follow your guidelines, trying to write this little article about a band I follow for some years now, and could not find in wiki so I embarked in my own proposal, gathering info from all sources I could find and asking lost of questions to the band members via social media, I don't know them on a personal level and I don't expect to get any recognition I believe articlles here are anonymous, guide me so I can make this work.? thanks
- Hello, Veeclear101. First, welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for contributing! I understand your frustration. Wikipedia's policies and guidelines tend to confuse new editors, especially when it comes to creating new articles. I'll use The Beatles article as an example. The band must be notable. This means that they must have in-depth coverage in independent secondary sources. "Independent secondary sources" means that they can't be the band's own website, blog, or even answers to an editor's questions on social media. If you take a look at the sources for the Beatles at The Beatles#Sources, you'll see that they are books, documentaries, newspaper/magazine articles others have written. The sources must contain "in depth" coverage, meaning something beyond a mention. If Astari Night doesn't fulfill these requirements, then they sadly don't merit a Wikipedia article, as much as you like them. A minor point: the articles aren't anonymous. They don't belong to any one editor, but your edits are logged in the edit history. If you have any questions, please feel free to {{ping}} me, the reviewers of your draft, or the Teahouse. Happy editing! Rotideypoc41352 (talk) 21:16, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
