Hello, WAITRO, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as User:WAITRO, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:WAITRO, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]
There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Request reason:

It was not my purpose to advertise WAITRO but to neutrally inform people about what we do and how we work. It was my very first time creating an wikipedia article, I did not properly know how to behave and what to write, I am very sorry for that. If you unblock my account, I will try my best to edit the WAITRO article to be as objective and informative as possible and to avoid any kind of self advertisement, for example delete the note to conferences and events.

Decline reason:

You seem to have some common misconceptions about Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not for merely providing information and is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves. This is an encyclopedia, which summarizes what independent reliable sources with significant coverage state about (in this case) organizations that meet Wikipedia's special definition of a notable organization. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization wants to say about itself. If that's your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia career, and you may want to consider alternative forums where what you want to do is permitted. If you are interested in being a general, individual contributor, please agree to not edit about your organization directly and tell what topics or articles you will edit instead. Please also review conflict of interest and paid editing as you will have some required disclosures to make once you are unblocked. I am declining your request at this time. 331dot (talk) 11:28, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Rather than directly informing about an organization I want to contribute to free knowledge sharing and benefiting from each other in a different way. I will try to find topics in the area of innovation and technology and law, the fields that interests me most and that I have knowledge about, to improve the flow of information and to fill in the potential gaps. I would be happy to get the chance to prove my willingness to work and share for good and to fit in.

The question below remains unanswered since over 9 months. You are welcome to create a new request that answers the question. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:35, 7 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit concerned about unblocking based on this statement. I've just looked at WAITRO's website, and it looks like you're saying that you want to edit within the sphere of their operations. You are paid by an organisation that describes itself as being the 'WORLD ASSOCIATION OF INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS'. Wikimedia's Terms of Use would impose some serious restrictions on the type of thing you could do in this subject area - certainly any member organisations of WAITRO, or their operations, would be covered, by my reading of it. Can you give some examples of the sort of content you would want to add? GirthSummit (blether) 13:51, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I share this concern. WAITRO/LinnSommeer, please provide specific examples for edits you would like to make in the future, and explicitly agree not to edit about anything related to your conflict of interest at any time. Instead of requiring the reviewing administrator to interpret and read between the lines, we need clear, unequivocal commitment to the policies you have previously ignored. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:35, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
