EHCP
[edit]Looking at the deletion review request you've made regarding EHCP, I'm wondering whether you're wanting to restore the old one-line article, or if you're looking for permission to write a new, better article about EHCP.
If it's the latter, my advice is to start a draft of the article in userspace—for example, at User:WiZZiK/EHCP. Build as robust an article as you can, citing independent reviews and other reliable sources, and make sure to keep the article in neutral point of view. Once you've got it drafted, contact me, and I'll be glad to take a look at the article. I'll either give you pointers on what to do next with it, or if it's ready, I'll help you to get it into mainspace.
(One note: I'll be out of town for about a week in the middle of May. Check the top of my talk page when you leave the message, and if you see anything about a "wikibreak," either wait out that week, or put the {{helpme}} template on this talk page and ask for somebody to look at the draft of the article.)
Any questions, feel free to ask, either here or at my talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 17:26, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
Hello C.Fred
[edit]It has been some time since you offered to guide me with the EHCP article. Unfortunately work prevented me from dedicating the time to post it here. Now I have what I believe is a correct article for the topic. Would you be so kind as to inform as to what I should do next? Also, I will be expanding upon the article more, once I have verified some information. The page is at User:WiZZiK/EHCP Many Thanks! WiZZiK (talk) 15:43, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Sorry C.Fred I realize now I posted my talkback on the wrong page of your userspace. WiZZiK (talk) 20:17, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

I have rewritten an article for EHCP, but it is currenlty protected from creation. What steps should I pursue to request to have the new article accepted? It can be found at User:WiZZiK/EHCP. Thanks. WiZZiK (talk) 18:29, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, you'd need to contact Arbitrarily0 (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA), the admin who originally deleted it. However, because it was deleted as a result of a deletion discussion, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/EHCP, you would need to prove that the content of your new article is substantially different to the article that was deleted, otherwise it may be rapidly deleted under CSD G4. Thank you, can you tell me how I can even see the old article? It has been quite some time and I cannot for the life of me find the old article. Thanks. WiZZiK (talk) 18:35, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- Only admins can see deleted content. If you have email enabled on your account, I can email you the wikitext, though. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 19:24, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Yes I do have email enabled. Thank you. WiZZiK (talk) 19:27, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have concerns about the proposed draft; it only has one single inline reference; you need to add more - using reliable sources.
How references work |
---|
Simple references[edit]These require two parts;
Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> He likes tea. <ref> [http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com Tea website] </ref>
== References == {{reflist}} (an existing article is likely to already have one of these sections) To see the result of that, please look at user:chzz/demo/simpleref. Edit it, and check the code; perhaps make a test page of your own, such as user:WiZZiK/reftest and try it out. Named references[edit]Chzz was born in 1837, <ref name="MyBook"> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref> in Footown.<ref name="MyBook"/> Note that the second usage has a / (and no closing ref tag). This needs a reference section as above; please see user:chzz/demo/namedref to see the result. Citation templates[edit]You can put anything you like between <ref> and </ref>, but using citation templates makes for a neat, consistent look; Chzz has 37 Olympic medals. <ref> {{Citation | last = Smith | first = John | title = Olympic medal winners of the 20th century | publication-date = 2001 | publisher = [[Cambridge University Press]] | page = 125 | isbn = 0-521-37169-4 }} </ref> Please see user:chzz/demo/citeref to see the result. For more help and tips on that subject, see user:chzz/help/refs. |
A reliable source is something with a 'reputation for fact-checking and accuracy'. "nethackz.com" is not one; it is user-generated content. The same goes for blogs, wikis, etc. You reference something on "webspacefreehosting.com", that is also not a reliable source.
Good sources include newspapers and books. You need to show why the thing is notable. Chzz ► 19:37, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Yes I understand, I probably should have mentioned the article is still incomplete, but I'm looking for pointers before actually requesting inclusion, because I don't want it to just get deleted again. I appreciate your help. Thank you. WiZZiK (talk) 19:45, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
Should I begin listing reasons I believe it is notable on the discussion page? WiZZiK (talk) 19:47, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
