Review
[edit]Hello Xingran! Thanks for your contributions to editing the current news of Meng Wanzhou. The article looks good, but I hope if you have time to put more information, such as details about Meng's job nature, and Huawei's background information. Also, I am wondering if you can add one more section to write about the influence of the event. I know Huawei, the USA, and China all have a huge influence from the event including economy and politics. In addition, I think Huawei's perspective or any statement towards the event is also worth mentioning. Overall, the sandbox looks good and concisely. It provides a clear timeline to follow the event. -MichelleLiu (talk) 18:28, 29 March 2019 (UTC)
XingranLiu, good job. I made a bunch of edits and added some templates. Some suggestions:
- link to other articles when you first mention something, e.g., Iran sanctions
- you mention Ren Zhengfei early on with no explanation. Is Ren his last name, or are you speaking of him from his first name?

Hi, Xingran
I love how detailed you article is, especially the timeline section. I recommend that you can expand more on the section where you introduce the person itself. So the reviewer can have a better understanding of the person's background information. Also, I think you can explain more on why she got the detention and what happened afterwards. All in all, since you are writing an event instead of a person, a company or a community, I think the most important thing is to let the viewers understand the cause and effect as a whole. You can add more detailed information to your article later to make the article seems more integrated. Overall, I think you did a great job!

feedback
[edit]Hi @XingranLiu: I saw your request for feedback on my talk page. Overall I think you have a very solid addition. Do you plan on adding this content to Meng Wanzhou or creating a new article? I noticed that you have a few subsections without references (in User:XingranLiu/sandbox#Responses. Everything you add to Wikipedia needs to be cited. If multiple consecutive sentences are cited from the same source, then it is acceptable to cite the source once at the end of the consecutive sentences. Therefore, it is a red flag to have a paragraph or section end without a citation.
Another small thing you can fix is the sentence punctuation and references. Per the Wikipedia Manual of Style, sentences should have their punctuation immediately followed by the ref (no space). So it should go "This is a sentence in my article.[citation][space]This is my second sentence".
