Just leaving this message just so you can easily get to my talk page for future conversations. --Tomswainson (talk) 10:28, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

When leaving a talk back template, you write your reply on here and just put the talk back template on my page. It's like a manual notification, don't put your reply within the template. --Tomswainson (talk) 10:46, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Testing

[edit]

Hi Tom, please can you let me know if this is what you meant. I just can't get the talk part to work on the link. --xlucky_charmx (talk) 22:49, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You don't have to do any talking in the link, all the link does is direct me here so I can see this message. And it worked! --Tomswainson (talk) 13:46, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, i'm glad it worked though.  :-). --xlucky_charmx (talk) 16:21, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, in wiki conventions, you add one extra colon for each reply in a thread so you can easily see that a different person has replied. --Tomswainson (talk) 17:58, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What next?

[edit]

I've been trying to help everyone work Wikipedia so haven't really inputted to the creation of the article. I was in a personal supervisor meeting earlier so missed the meeting, is there anything else you'd like help with as you seem to have the content nailed down. Maybe it would be worth seeing if there is an article we can add her too as a subsection. If you look at Joey's talk page I've already mentioned this. --Tomswainson (talk) 19:32, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want me to add her name to the wiki page for the University she works at, and maybe the e lab bit, because there isn't anything there about it and that could be something we could add a subsection bit to and is relevant to her? Could you try and find some info about her early life, because are struggling to find anything about that? --xlucky_charmx (talk) 22.34, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
I can do if you like. I've been helping a few other people with there work today so haven't really spent a lot of time on our edit. I've moved a couple of references around so they come after the paraphrase/info you've referenced form them, it looks cleaner. I've also page linked some other words too, just to keep the page a little more linked in with the rest of wikipedia. --Tomswainson (talk) 23:23, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah it looks better, I just wondered what's happened to the e lab bit, because it has a border around it, but i've looked at the code and can't see anything wrong? Do you mean you are going to try and find some information about her early life or look at the University page? --xlucky_charmx (talk) 09.30, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
I'll look at the university page. Maybe Joe or Holly could look at her early life maybe? --Tomswainson (talk) 10:05, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, i've added some more to the article. They couldn't find anything about it. --xluckycharmx (talk) 13:05, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Joey found some useful links apparently, I think they're on his talk page. --Tomswainson (talk) 13:13, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We are releasing the page to the public so that we can get engagement marks for the project. We will make a copy of the page just in case of entire deletion --JoeyFox91 (talk) 19:01, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes we need the article to go public. Has this been done? If so how do we get relevant editors to engage? May be we can post on a topic forum? Or just try and find and contact them directly? May be the Teahouse could help??FrankMcCann (talk) 23:42, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
One major problem is that only one source is independent of Ellerman and her school; to show she's notable, you need to show that she's been written about in secondary sources.
(You asked for engagement from other editors, so I decided to chime in.) —C.Fred (talk) 23:51, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Info box

[edit]

I can't get the employer to appear in the info box and wondered if any of you know what I am doing wrong. --xluckycharmx (talk) 20:32, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

what is it that you would like it to say?? --JoeyFox91 (talk) 20:57, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Just in the info box, there is occupation and education, I was wanting to add employer. I have added the code but it hasn't worked. --xlucky_charmx (talk) 20:59, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure, I didn't use the employer bit when I used the script :/, let me check again --JoeyFox91 (talk) 21:03, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I just checked it, I think it's a glitch in the script because it doesn't work on mine either --JoeyFox91 (talk) 21:06, 9 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Putting | employer = [[Athabasca University]] in the infobox coding won't work because the infobox being used, {{Infobox writer}}, doesn't have an employer parameter. {{Infobox person}} does, as well as parameters for occupation and education, which I see are the only other parameters you're currently using. --Geniac (talk) 03:11, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you for your help, I will try that now. --xlucky_charmx (talk) 16:07, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, that has worked!! --xlucky_charmx (talk) 16:16, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
