Is there any reason this content should really be deleted? The AfD seems to be upset that its in a separate article, however, there's no question that Ultima Online is extremely notable, and there are a slew of articles trying to cover it in a reasonable way.--Milowent • hasspoken 14:08, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
I renamed it to List of worlds in Ultima Online since it is a list article, and mentioned how many other such list articles for worlds of notable series existed in Wikipedia, it the same as character and episode list. DreamFocus 00:12, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
AfD in Category:Gettysburg Battlefield. Abraham Bryan, or Brian was a free black man who owned a farm on Cemetery Ridge at the time of the Battle of Gettysburg, and with other blacks fled the area for fear of being enslaved by the Confederate troops. --DThomsen8 (talk) 17:43, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
I've added pointers to articles and books mentioning the man. The AfD nomination is based on the biography guideline, but the article may work if the focus is placed on the incident instead of the person. Apart from my Keep, the AfD currently had only Delete !votes based on the lack of sources. Diego (talk) 10:37, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
I've already handled this one, but wanted to make a note here. This college is one in the same as Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery, another stub subject to a suggested merge. I expanded the latter article, and suggested that Pennsylvania Dental College be redirected to it. This was a classic rescue situation, the subject was notable, the current content was weak, but if deleted its unclear if either article would have ever been recreated. It turns out that the Pennsylvania College of Dental Surgery was actually the 2nd dental college founded in the United States (its a bit more complex than that, but essentially that's the case), and the college spawned what became the current dental schools at UPenn and Temple. I.e., its an overlooked but important part of American dental history. (BTW, an article could be created on Dental Cosmos, the premier dental science periodical from the 1870s to 1938.[1][2])--Milowent • hasspoken 15:33, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Here's the AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TLG Communications. The topic appears to be a close case in which it appears to just meet WP:GNG. It needs more sources to establish notability, and some expansion to better state the company's activities and goals. Northamerica1000(talk) 22:32, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
When I read an article where I can't understand what the company actually does, I get a bit leery!--Milowent • hasspoken 22:50, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
The AfD for TLG Communications closed as delete. Northamerica1000(talk) 23:36, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
Stacked (TV film), see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stacked (TV film). Stacked was a 2008 film/TV pilot that resulted from a large Scottish competition and was aired on Channel 4, I think it meets WP:GNG, have added 3 substantial sources already, but there may be more out there.--Milowent • hasspoken 21:14, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Shoshana Grossbard is a professor of economics at San Diego State University. Created 11 Jan 2012 by me. --Uncle Ed (talk) 21:47, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Prodded, improved; tagged, improved; then as if in response to the tag-requested improvement, nominated for AfD.
Three others jump in to save the article: Hrafn, Msrasnw, NorthAmerica1000, SummerPhD
AFD closed keep. Stifle (talk) 10:14, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
It was suddenly prodded by SummerPhD: Two articles, both poorly sourced, smashed into one. No indication of notability.[3] and Hrafn: Profoundly malformed stub ...[4]
I removed the prods and asked for help merging the information. [5]
I removed the irrelevant information complained of in the AfD [7]
Hrafn now pitches in to clean up the article [8] - despite having agreed with the prod and with the AfD nom.
Subject appears notable. Some discussion perhaps whether it should best be treated in a separate article or with other musical ornaments, but deletion is inappropriate. I weighed in adding possible sources to my AfD comment.--Milowent • hasspoken 22:29, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
Cope Truss – AfD closed as redirect to Gettysburg Battlefield.
AfD in Category:Gettysburg Battlefield buildings and structures DThomsen8 (talk) 17:16, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
There is a collection of related articles about severaltowers. Only one of them is nominated right now but the others are likely to follow. Time to test the arguments in my new essay. Diego (talk) 11:33, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
Union Gettysburg veteran Emmor Cope was detailed to annotate the battlefield's troop positions... but it says nothing whatever about the Cope Truss. Should there be some mention of the tower there?--DThomsen8 (talk) 13:55, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
Hello, would you please help me rescue this article before they delete it? Thank you JunoBeach (talk) 21:45, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
A quick google news search doesn't reveal anything other than a passing mention in 2007? You have any other news sources to demonstrate notability? That's what we need here.--Milowent • hasspoken 22:33, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
Hi, some citations have been added by CGN members and the article is beginning to expand. The article has plenty of room for expansion, but it will take time. That is why I have asked the rescue group to participate. HELP :) JunoBeach (talk) 21:45, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
I took off speedy deletion yesterday, but I see its now at AfD, so you'll have seven days to discuss it. But reasonable speaking, you have a tough case here, I can do a lot when I have sources, but there's not much I can find for this. You need press articles, etc., where the forum is discussed/profiled, etc., to show that it is notable.--Milowent • hasspoken 22:15, 25 January 2012 (UTC)
TLG Communications – Vladimir Kush AfD closed as keep.
i hope im doing this right. Vladimir Kush is a famous artist who ive heard of and i tried hard to fix the page but people have ganged up and removed all the references ive added and even said my keep doesn't count. i don't know what else to do and i found this. maybe im doing everything wrong on this site i don't know but no one is participating except people who seem to have problems with me. Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vladimir Kush thanks and tell me if i did anything wrong please. Bouket (talk) 17:49, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
Yes, this is where to post rescue candidates now. I'll take a look. I'll note that Kush is not unique in being put to AfD--many living artists (painters, sculptors, etc., I mean) have Wikipedia articles created that don't last, usually because they don't have sufficient coverage in news sources. Its unlikely to be personal about you as an editor commenting on the discussion.--Milowent • hasspoken 18:09, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
The article could use expansion. Added {{bio-stub}}. I've added the following sources to the article:
Flemming Rule, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Flemming Rule. The article is new, the concept appears to likely be notable, but the current content needs improvement and additional sourcing. AfD will close soon (nominated January 16), so act fast if you are interested. Alternate option would be address within Aid to Families with Dependent Children. The content and existence of the "Flemming rule" is certainly notable.--Milowent • hasspoken 16:56, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
Comment - I've cleaned up/rewritten the article, removing copyvio problems in which prose was verbatim copy/pasted from sources. The following sources have been added to the article:
