Function overview: Add a "|no Commons=yes" to {{PD-self}} and similar on files with a {{Keep local}} (and other templates that indicate that file should not be moved to Commons and deleted locally).

Function details: Per discussion about separating files that could be moved to Commons and deleted locally from files that can not be moved and deleted the solution to fix the PD-self template was found.

If a "|no Commons=yes" is added to the template then the file is moved from "Category:User-created public domain images from <date>" to "Category:User-created public domain images (no Commons) from <date>".

That make it possible to work on the files in Category:User-created public domain images and empty the sub categories.

I made a few edits like this so you can see what happens.

Approved for trial (20 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. – What regular expression are you using? (Out of curiosity.) Trial complete.. I used "\{\{PD-sel([^\}]*?)\}\}" "{{PD-sel\1|no Commons=yes}}" and checked all edits on screen. Once they are done I'll do a query to see if any is missing. --MGA73 (talk) 21:13, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
