[edit]Note that the number of edits requested above assumes that archiving will also be implemented - currently, only one edit is made per run. Happy‑melon 11:47, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- So this is going to edit once per fortnight? How about you find 5 or so examples of pages needing maintenance to start with? -- maelgwn - talk 12:20, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- OK, guilt-trip time. I already ran it. Those are the errors that have built up since the project moved to the new requests system on November 3rd. I was prompted to write this bot after doing all that by hand, only to lose the edit in a database lock - not fun, and not something I ever want to do again! All the changes I've checked are correct, and I've fixed the bug with "title=Armenian Revolutionary Federation" →titleNArmenian Revolutionary Federation". Happy‑melon 12:43, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- That looks ok but we need to see more edits, in whatever way is possible or this might need a very long trial. Make a suggestiong and we can give you trial approval ... -- maelgwn - talk 12:53, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- You 2nd edit had Józef Piłsudski wrong, is should be FAC not GA (I assume because it is both). How about twice daily edits for say a week? -- maelgwn - talk 13:00, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Józef Piłsudski has been giving me trouble since forever - the wierd barred "ł" is not a unicode character so it's been giving me no end of errors. It is quite good to have such a nasty title in there though for debugging purposes. To be honest twice-daily edits won't be very useful to you - the rate of change is so low that most of those edits will be null or single-change. I've run it again, demonstrating that the Armenia bug is fixed; it still screws up Jozef for some reason I'll look into. It might, as you say, have to be a very long trial - one edit a week or so should give enough change to prove a reasonable test. Tick... tock... tick...
:D

OK, if that is what you want. Approved for a very long Approved for trial (10 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. (expected to take 10 weeks) -- maelgwn - talk 23:51, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- OK thanks. See you in March

Is that enough or do you want three more? Happy‑melon 12:15, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I spotted the mistake in no 7 quickly, presumably you've fixed that in the code? —Reedy Boy 11:47, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes that was the very first run (they're in reverse chronological order). Happy‑melon 12:21, 24 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
