Discussion
[edit]I find it much easier to disambiguate with solve_disambiguation.py than the other tools Wikipedia Cleaner, POP or AWB (I spend hours each day working in PuTTY, the command line is second nature to me). I know that may sound odd but most of the pages I disambiguate tend to go towards the same link such as Windows to Microsoft Windows, so context isn't so critical. If I'm not 100% sure of the correct dab I move to the next and fix it later with POP so I can see the full context.
I realize that creating a bot just for this seems excessive but after reading a great deal regarding Wikipedia:B, I was unsure of how to proceed. I thought it made sense considering that while disambiguating pages I will generate a lot of recent changes entries.
Personally I'd be happy to use solve_disambiguation.py without a bot flag but I don't want to get my main account blocked for using solve_disambiguation.py or editing to fast.--Faradayplank (talk) 22:54, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
