Function details: So far I've identified one vast class of mistakes: some bot, while adding coordinates to US settlement articles, added them in format {{coord|latitude|longitude|city}}, while it should have been {{coord|latitude|longitude|type:city}}. The former format is not recognised by GeoHack and will not be recognised by the GeoData extension WMF is planning to roll out soonish. Since I'm changing the article anyway, I will also replace old b/c redirects like {{coor dms}} with direct {{coord}} calls.
Discussion
[edit]- I see no problem with this; to clarify, it's fixing stuff like [1]. --slakr\ talk / 07:37, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Does changing {{coor dms}} to {{coord}} involve any parameter changes? — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 09:57, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- No, it's a pure template redirect. Max Semenik (talk) 11:33, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
