Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: Automatic
Programming language(s): Python
Source code available: github
Function overview: moves talkspace subpages of articles without a mainspace counterpart which have recently been moved (for example, Talk:ARTICLE/GA1 or Talk:ARTICLE/Archive_#).
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): WP:BOTREQ
Edit period(s): Daily
Estimated number of pages affected: unknown

Function details: TAP Bot will go through all moves in the mainspace which have happened more recently than 72 hours ago, but earlier than 48 hours ago, and check that there is a talkpage to the article. It will then go through all the subpages of the talk page, and if the subpage has an articlespace counterpart, it will skip it. If not, it will move it to the new page title to match the mainspace article and log it to User:TAP Bot/Logs.
Discussion
[edit]- Bot will need to be confirmed to have the ability to move pages. Thine Antique Pen (talk) 09:03, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Per this comment, I have discussed the matter with Thine Antique Pen, and I agree to him filing this request. WormTT(talk) 09:21, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- In general, as long as the coding stuff (which flies over my head) works, then I'm in support of this idea. It might be worth pushing the time back from 24 hours as page moves are often reverted after longer than a day (but inside, say, a week), but I don't feel too strongly about that. The only other thing I can think of is that I seem to recall someone once not wanting to GAN subpages to be moved for some reason, so might be worth checking with the folks at GA just in case. - Pushed back by 24 hours. I cannot see anything wrong with moving GAN subpages. Thine Antique Pen (talk) 11:15, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- As I've addressed the comment above, would there be a possibility of a trial on this as there has been no further discussion? Thine Antique Pen (talk) 12:14, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Approved for trial (7 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. --Chris 15:17, 16 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Trial complete. I forgot to run it yesterday, and have therefore ran it today. No unfixed issues. Thine Antique Pen (talk) 16:52, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Approved. MBisanz talk 02:22, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
