Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Gave you AWB and confirmed. TE after approval. For now, let's test it on unprotected (or semi-protected, less preferably) templates to minimize any damage. Be careful about the regex; I would manually check all edits whenever there is something of the form \|$N=[^|}]*\{\{ because regex can never perfectly handle those constructs. — Earwig ^talk 20:46, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Approved. @Jc86035: Looks good. One small change would be to swap "parameter" for "deprecated parameter" in the edit summary to make it clear what we're doing. I gave you TE for a week, let me know if you need more time. Lastly, it goes without saying that there's inherent danger in editing TE-protected pages, so make sure you check over those edits in particular, and go slowly to avoid killing the job queue. — Earwig ^talk 18:45, 5 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
