About the Wikidays

The McGill University Library is pleased to announce the WikiDays events, a series of conferences and workshops on the Wikimedia Projects and their intersection with the work of librarians, archivists and information professionals. The events are open to all via Zoom.

Wikidays Goals

The McGill University Library hopes to use these activities to give participants the opportunity to learn more about the natural intersections of the Wikimedia projects with libraries and archives with the hopes of trying new projects within their home institutions. We also hope that these activities will provide librarians, archivists and information professionals new to Wikimedia the opportunity to connect with experimented Wikibrarians and Wikichivistes as well as discover many of the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikimedia Community’s current projects and groups that seek to encourage the participation of libraries and archives.
