The project, promoted by the Basque Wikimedians User Group in partnership with Donostia-San Sebastián 2016 European Capital of Culture, aims at portraying in the Wikipedia peace and its dynamic dimension by means of art. In keeping with an approach of coexistence and inclusion, the contest wants to encourage with special emphasis the participation of minority languages.
The winner will receive the Peace Treaties in Art 30 x 30 Challenge gold barnstar. The runner-ups will receive silver, and every user who contributes with an article will receive a bronze award. In addition, the five highest ranking contributors on 1 July will be rewarded with a free half-board stay in Donostia-San Sebastián, European capital of culture 2016 during our special Wikimarathon to be held on 9 July.
When?: The writing challenge will run from 17 June (12 pm CET) until 17 July 2016 (CET, UTC+01:00).
How? The contest is simple in structure, based on a KISS point system: You get Points while improving articles, with the goal for each participant to win as many points as possible. Please tick only if you have added information or created a new article from 17/06/2016 onwards! Thanks!
Who? Everybody can help in any language to collaborate on writing and/or translating articles targeting European peace treaties in art. Any Wikipedian with a named account (on any wiki) can participate. To participate you just need to sign up on the Participants section.
