These are rather stunning and detailed snowflake pictures by Wilson Bentley. I'm wondering if I should nominate them for FPC.

- I'd say its chances are strong. The one real issue I see in this image is that it's very slightly blurry (I think). I'd like something higher resolution, but this is above the required minimum, so no-one can really complain. --Pharaoh Hound (talk) 00:02, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- I also like it. One recommendation, if you bring it to FPC, is that you include some of the historical information about Bentley in the nomination text. Many people won't take the time to read the associated articles, and would otherwise miss that aspect of the picture. --Davepape 12:52, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll make sure to do so when I nominate it. Any seconders? --NauticaShades(talk) 07:15, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have a fealing that a picture rather like this was up for FPC a while a go, but I can't find when, so I may be wrong. It would probably be related to Image:LT-SEM snow crystal magnification series-3.jpg which was featured ~May 2005. Ah, it may have been Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Snowflake, although those images have been deleted for copyright reasons. -- Solipsist 15:08, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- I believe those deleted snowflake images are from here.

- I'll second it. I'm not an expert at photography, but I'd have thought this is a pretty amazing photograph for the time, and no copyright worries. Terri G 14:10, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
