  • Not done It looks like portions of this were taken directly from this website. All content will need to be re-written in your own words. Some of it looks to be slightly closely paraphrased from things like this, but the lead contained two sentences taken directly from the first website. However that said, I will e-mail you a copy of the article so you can edit things. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:26, 28 June 2016 (UTC)

no Declined. @Petechilcott: We cannot restore copyrighted material on the basis of the word of some Wikipedia account. Unwoman

This article was previously recovered from deletion under PROD and it is my understanding that an article isn't supposed to be PRODed twice, which this one was. Please restore it again and, hopefully someone won't try PRODing it a third time. -Blackfyr (talk) 01:42, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

  • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Unwoman, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user RoySmith (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.
  • Blackfyr, the second deletion was actually at AfD and not PROD, which is a completely different beast. I remember this AfD and it wasn't really easy to find sourcing overall, since a lot of it would be considered WP:TRIVIAL coverage. You can talk to RoySmith about getting the page restored or userfied, as he seemed open to the idea. The main thing you'd need to do is show where she's received more coverage. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:15, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
  • This could be helpful, since it helps back up that she's a pioneer in the steampunk genre per the documentary. Of course we'd have to show that the documentary is notable, which might take time since it looks like it hasn't actually released yet. Still, it's a start. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:39, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
  • I've restored this to Draft:Unwoman. You can continue to work on the article there. Please keep in mind that this does not mean it will automatically move back to mainspace; you will need to add appropriate sources to meet our notability rules, as per the AfD. -- RoySmith (talk) 13:30, 29 June 2016 (UTC)

Wolves of Périgord

Uncontroversially deleted after being PROD-tagged with a blanket rationale as one of seven articles created by user Bearerofthecup.

Concerns:

  1. Wolfcatcher Royal was PROD-tagged with the blanket rationale, despite being an official public office that has been in existence in some form for approx. 716 years, and is today still a public office in France. PROD nominator does not speak or read French. Had they opened fr:Lieutenant de louveterie they would have noted a 16k article that can serve as expansion for the English.
  2. PROD nominator in the related discussion Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wolf of Soissons made a non-policy based delete !vote because they were unable to read the language of most of the sources in that article despite numerous being presented, including making the false assumption that subject matter was fictional, when sources confirmed it being a fact. Nobody else opined deletion.
  3. Something similar happened when Wolf of Ansbach was de-PROD'ed and AfD'ed.

Thus I find a closer look at Wolves of Périgord is warranted. Please userfy to User:Sam Sailor/Drafts/Wolves of Périgord. -Sam Sailor Talk! 14:40, 30 June 2016 (UTC)

File:OldRockinChairTom2.jpg and File:OldRockinChairTom4.jpg

These images should be in Tom and Jerry article Old Rockin' Chair Tom.12.84.192.170 (talk) 21:40, 30 June 2016 (UTC)12.84.192.170

Can you please explain how the presence of these images will aid understanding of the topic? That requirement is not in the fair use rationale. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 01:49, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

I think 12.84.192.170 meant File:OldRockinChairTom2.jpg and File:OldRockinChairTom4.jpg should be undeleted. Marole3 (talk) 23:47, 1 July 2016 (UTC)

That's what I think too, but the fair use rationale with these images does not explain how having the images will improve understanding. One has a magnet pulling an iron into the mouth, and another looks like an iron is just under the skin on the back. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 05:40, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
I'd say the rationale for File:OldRockinChairTom2.jpg is to illustrate a key plot element showing Tom and Jerry cooperating on a plan to evict an interloper. It's a rare moment when the two aren't fighting or chasing each other, but working together. The other image, in my opinion, isn't necessary, for the article. ~Amatulić (talk) 08:14, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Techetarian

This Page should not be deleted because the blog http://techetarian.blogspot.com has helped me a lot in fixing my PC and the blog is very much impressive and it should be on Wikipedia. Wikipedia can let the blogger inspire and help many people learning out there ! -Harsh98trivedi (talk) 12:38, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

This page was deleted because it was blanked by its author. That said, that rationale means nothing to us - our inclusion rationale is whether it has been written about by others. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 16:29, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
  •  Not done Even if the author now wants to unblank this, it would still be eligible for deletion because of no claim of importance. I suggest that you start again at Draft:Techetarian stating why this blog is so important that it should have an entry in an encyclopedia, and have completely independent and reliable sources to provide the facts about it. Yes the name was actually LiL' Gang$ta. I disagree with the G11 deletion reason but I do agree with the A7 reason. You could ask user:Acroterion or User:fastily who deleted this page. No point in asking Fastily's opinion; his administrative abilities were taken away four years ago, because he asked for them to be removed, so he can't see anything of the deleted content. Nyttend (talk) 23:11, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

Offhand what you'll need to do is show where her roles in the other productions are notable. You can do this by showing where she's received coverage in places like newspapers and something that might help is that this coverage doesn't have to be in English - it can be in Hindi as well. Offhand here are some of the sourcing I found: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5]. I'm actually going to take a copy of this into my userspace for the both of us to work on, since there looks like there could be a good argument for overturning the AfD here, especially since India sourcing can be difficult to find unless you know where to look, as Google doesn't always bring back all results - especially if you're only searching in English. • I've started an article here. Offhand the biggest issue is that there's a ton of coverage for her work in Shastri Sisters, but not much for anything other than that. If you can find 1-3 lengthy sources that discuss her work in her most recent TV shows, that'd be really helpful in establishing independent notability now. I'm also going to ask for help at WP:INDIA. Andras Jones

My wikipedia page appears to have been deleted because I am an "Actor with no significant roles in major films" and "Although he won a Young Artist Award in 1988, there's not much aside from that and my searches found nothing good with this 2002 Spin article being the best. SwisterTwister talk". It is an unenviable position in which to find one's self, having to contest such a discounting of one's career, but in almost 30 years in the entertainment business I have certainly experienced worse. In regard to the assertion of insignificance, the Nightmare on Elm Street series is one of, if not the most, successful horror franchise of all time, and I play a lead role in the 4th installment. I have also played the lead in other cult horror classics like "The Attic Expeditions", "Sorority Babes In The Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama" and the "Night Trap" video game. I have starred in films opposite Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Jason-Leigh and Viggo Mortensen, and played a beloved illiterate bully in "Saved By The Bell". All of this can be found on my IMDB page. As for the Young Artist Award from 1988, I won no such award although I may have been nominated. What I can report is that, beyond my work in film, I have had a book published "Accidental Initiations: In The Kabbalistic Tree of Olympia" (Sync Book Press 2012), recorded and released over ten albums with my band Mr. Jones & The Previous and solo (many of these songs have appeared in motion picture soundtracks), and I have created and produced The Radio8Ball Show since 1998. Radio8Ball has been covered on NPR's "All Things Considered", as well as in the pages of the LA Times, The Boston Globe and all of the major Seattle papers, so I'm surprised all your researcher could come up with was an award I didn't win in 1988.

Every year I attend horror conventions attended by thousands of fans of the horror genre in general and Nightmare on Elm Street in particular. While I appreciate that my endeavors as an author, musician and as the producer of the world's foremost musical divination show may not be deemed wiki-worth to some, it is an insult to the Nightmare series and its legions of fans to suggest that "The Dream Master" is not a major film or that the role of Rick Johnson is not significant.

I look forward to your decision on this matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by R8B (talkcontribs) 20:38, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

  • Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Andras Jones, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user MBisanz (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. It may be possible to restore this to a draft, so that the factual errors, and omissions can be rectified. But we can just do a summary override of the AFD discussion here. To do that there must be another formal discussion. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:29, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

I, Jack Willow, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Jack W. 06:05, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

  • I noted on the talk page that you would not be doing any work yourself, rather that other editors would. That concerns me since there's no declaration from the other editors at all (ie, we can't guarantee that they'd actually work on it) and I need to note that if this isn't worked on and the article gets G13'd again, it's unlikely that this would be restored a second time. Logos of television channels and a radio station of the Netherlands

These three images, which was uploaded in 2012 was deleted by Diannaa, one image, which was also uploaded in 2012 was deleted by James086 and one image, which was uploaded in November 2015 was deleted by Explicit under F5. I would like to request these pages be restored so I can license them under a free license or in the public domain, because I think that these logos are simple and consists of text and simple geometric shape. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. XPanettaa (talk) 21:17, 2 July 2016 (UTC)

Since you have failed to answer the question about whether you represent the companies that own copyright on these logos, I assume that you are not such a person. However I have restored two, one of which looks to be simple enough, and the other might be too simple for copyright. The other ones I would count as too complex , so that copyright applies. But if you want to use them on en.wikipedia then a restore can take place. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:20, 2 July 2016 (UTC)
Comment: @Graeme Bartlett: I wanted to let you know that File:Mgm channel nl.png, which is probably too complex, is licensed under CC-zero (which you mentioned at my talk page). See this when and where this has happened and then restore these three three (which is not yet restored and you counted as too complex) there above and these four here below:
I don't think that image is related to the ones you mention. However I suspect that the CC-zero on that is bogus, as at the current site of the image it says no such thing, permitting non commercial use only and a number of other restrictions and caveats. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:43, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

XPanettaa (talk) 20:59, 3 July 2016 (UTC)

I have restored File:Ziggo Logo.png, as it may be too simple for copyright. I could not track down the IFD discussion, so consider it ignored. The others are complex enough for copyright to apply, but could be restored if you want to use them. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:07, 3 July 2016 (UTC)
@Graeme Bartlett: I think I want to use them. By the way, File:Sublime FM logo.png, which is from Wikimedia Commons, was uploaded as {{PD-textlogo}}, so if this this logo is probably too simple for copyright to apply, File:SubLime FM.jpeg is presumably also probably too simple for copyright to apply, as the image from Commons, which looks the same as this one, which was uploaded in November 2012 and deleted by James086 in March 2014 under F5, was uploaded as in the public domain, because it only consists of text and shape. This means that File:Sublime FM logo.png and File:SubLime FM.jpeg are probably the same thing. XPanettaa (talk) 14:14, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
That is too complex as it has a texture. If you made a differnt texture that looked the same I think it would be fine, or if solid black text it would be pd-simple. But since you want to use them I can restore as fair use. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 23:55, 4 July 2016 (UTC)
@Graeme Bartlett: Okay, restore them as fair use, because I want to use them. XPanettaa (talk) 13:53, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

File:N64 Super Mario 64 flying.jpg, File:N64 Super Mario 64 metal.jpg, File:N64 Super Mario 64 invisible.jpg

File:N64 Super Mario 64 flying.jpg, File:N64 Super Mario 64 metal.jpg, and File:N64 Super Mario 64 invisible.jpg are part of Super Mario 64 page. They show different caps Mario is wearing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.84.192.170 (talk) 19:14, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

Unfortunately that's a bit much. We don't need an image for each Mario powerup. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:17, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

In think it's part of the article and want it restored 12.84.192.170 (talk) 19:23, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

And that would breach the de minimis criterion. We don't need an image for each of the three at once. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 19:57, 6 July 2016 (UTC)

I am requesting undeletion on the referenced article and here are my reasons:

1. The update(re-edit) to that article was my own original work. I never copied it, however the real cause of deletion was never mentioned or rather articulated to me. 2. My sources were very reliable and solid sources which include the American Bar Association, A book by and many other articles from leading newspapers in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa. 3. This was a complete re-edit of the article and I had requested that the article be reviewed again after the update.

I really feel that the Administrator must revise or re-check the article and its sources and bring to my attention anything I missed. In the stead the administartor simply noted to me that the article "must be deleted for a variety of reasons".

  • The article was deleted because it was written in promotional style. Perhaps you could have asked User:DGG about this as he was the one who deleted it. Perhaps you can ask him for this to be made into a draft so that the tone can be changed. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:44, 6 July 2016 (UTC)
