Draft:Jon Stancer (singer-songwriter)

Our page was a 'work-in-progress'. We considered it a draft and we didn't realize that is was accessible by others or that we were breaching Wikipedia's terms and conditions. We believed that via our account login, we were creating and editing something to be published at a later date. We also didn't realize, that the article that we were working on could be removed and that we wouldn't be able to retrieve it, and it was the only copy of the article that we had. We would very much appreciate it if we could get our article back. That is our primary hope. If we are able to get it back, we will re-submit it to Wikipedia when ready (ie work on it offline). Please and thank you. —JSMedia (talk) 15:47, 5 December 2017 (UTC) [now Jasonschneider (talk · contribs)]

Not done. @JSMedia: Because it was deleted in accordance with WP:G11 it is ineligible for restoration by request. You might try asking the deleting administrator Athaenara (talk · contribs) to restore it. Furthermore, your username violates Wikipedia:Username policy because it looks like a company name or shared account (further evidenced by your use of the term "we" in your request). Companies are prohibited from having Wikipedia accounts, and shared accounts are also prohibited. A username must represent only one person as an individual. John Yates (Culadasa)

I'd like to work on this as a draft, so that it doesn't suffer the same AfD fate as the deleted incarnation. There should be enough material to get this article above the notability threshold. —— Charles Stewart (talk) 07:50, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Dan Weinstein (business executive)

Per Jo-Jo Eumerus' suggestion, I would like to recover this draft so that it can be improved and resubmitted when notability is more established. —JacobMW (talk) 18:03, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

Suggestion where? The closing remark in the AFD was "if there was substantial discussion of the topic by independent reliable sources it'd be OK to have an article on them". There was no suggestion that the article was restorable to draft space for some indefinite period until sufficient reliable sources are available. When that happens, we can restore it to draft space. I see no reason to restore it now, particularly in view of the fairly strong and quite recent consensus to delete. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:54, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
@Anachronist: Here is the discussion I was referring to. It doesn't need to be moved to the draft space, I was just wondering if I could acquire the copy so I could move it into my sandbox so we can add in any additional references and resubmit when the time is right. Would be very, very much appreciated. Let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. JacobMW (talk) 17:21, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
@JacobMW: My concern here is that we have a unanimous community consensus that the article should be deleted. If it is moved to your user space and nothing appears to make the subject notable for the next 6 months, it would be deleted again anyway. While I cannot read the mind of Jo-Jo Eumerus, the fact that the deleting administrator didn't userfy the article upon your request strongly suggests an unwillingness to override community consensus even for userfying or draftifying, and while referring you to WP:REFUND for such requests was correct, we generally restore or userfy articles deleted via AFD only when we have assurance that the notability situation has changed, and the deleting administrator approves. That isn't the case yet, as far as I can tell. When new evidence appears to indicate the subject is notable, then we can restore it to user space or draft space for improvement. ~Anachronist (talk) 17:58, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
@Anachronist: Understood. Who should I loop back to when I feel the subject is more notable? JacobMW (talk) 18:08, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
@JacobMW: Just post another request here, describing the new evidence of notability. Or you can contact me directly on my talk page. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:01, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

I would like to work on the draft content to eliminate "advertising", and to increase its noteworthiness before resubmitting it —Mtheumann (talk) 01:04, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (Jimfbleak (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. The only way to "increase its noteworthiness" is to provide reliable third-party sources that discuss the subject in some depth. • Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/China's Four Most Handsome Men, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 09:50, 8 December 2017 (UTC)

I, Jmbroomie, request the undeletion of this draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Jmbroomie (talk) 17:01, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Note: This page was deleted under speedy deletion criterion G11, indicating an page that was irredeemably promotional or blatant advertising. Note that G11 deletions are more an issue with the tone of the page as opposed to its sources or formatting. As articles deleted under G11 need to be rewritten from scratch, they will not be undeleted as-is here; try contacting the deleting administrator (DGG (talk · contribs)). Alternatively, you may request the page be restored as a draft or to have the contents of its last known revision emailed to you provided you have email enabled in your account's preferences. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 21:06, 6 December 2017 (UTC)

Can I have the article restored as a draft and emailed to me (have enabled in preferences) and I will rewrite to meet requirements. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmbroomie (talkcontribs) 09:21, 7 December 2017 (UTC)

When a draft or page is deleted under G11, as hopelessly promotional, the last thing you want to do is use the deleted version. You need a fresh clean start using neutral, impartial language, taking to heart the fact that we do not want anything here that even remotely resembles an advertisement or promotion. Make a new article that nobody would mistake for an ad or brochure or press release. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:19, 9 December 2017 (UTC)

Abdulrahman Elsamni

The page should not be deleted based on A7 notability criteria because this person is very notable as a media personality in his own country. He is a regular guest in TV shows and often in newspapers. He has been chosen by EU to write about his country affairs. He is also a poet who publishes in press and a lecturer in the most reputable university in Egypt. —216.218.131.171 (talk) 00:26, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Five user pages

They were deleted about a month ago because I wanted to quit Wikipedia. It turns out I didn't, and I will be around for a few more weeks or months. These articles shouldn't be very difficult to finish, so it'd be good if I had a chance to do that. Mr KEBAB (talk) 07:45, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

indecisiveness

I was considering beginning an article on this topic but I was told that an article existed previously but was deleted. I can find no record of why the article was deleted and the admin who did so has not been active since 2015. Furthermore, I cannot find any record of what the article looked like at the time of its deletion. Indecisiveness is a personality construct that has been the subject of numerous psychological studies. I believe there is a body of peer reviewed literature on it that justifies an article. If the page cannot be undeleted, I would at least like the deleted page to be emailed to me or userified so that I may review it and see if I may address any issues that led to its deletion. -slothjaw —Sloth-Jaw (talk) 11:47, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

It was a definition with no references, content by Ninjagecko: "Undecisiveness (usually indecisiveness) is the inability to make decisions on one's own. An indecisive person may believe that "time" will help them make their decisions. Some solutions to indecision involve asking someone else to decide, or flipping a coin." I think you should start writing again from scratch! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 12:08, 10 December 2017 (UTC)

Trophy Wife (American band)

Page deleted for no viable reason, notable musicians involved in the band with properly referenced sources, beyond simply blogs —Bcdesignco (talk) 08:44, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

I'd rather see a trusted, established editor make this request. @Bcdesignco: your username violates Wikipedia:Username policy. Companies aren't allowed to have Wikipedia accounts. Only individual people are. Go to WP:CHU/Simple and request a change of username. ~Anachronist (talk) 23:49, 3 December 2017 (UTC)

@Anachronist:, I'm an individual. It's public record and I am legally allowed to use this name, according to the page you linked me to. The notoriety of this band exists. My personal status within the context of this request is completely irrelevant. So, will this page be un-deleted? Bcdesignco (talk) 10:45, 4 December 2017 (UTC)

@Bcdesignco: Your username looks like it represents BC Design Company, http://www.bcdesignco.net and there's also a Vimeo user "BC Design Co." with no indication that it's an individual - care to explain it? Companies are not allowed to have Wikkipedia accounts. You can try keeping it, but I advise changing your username to avoid endless future problems on Wikipedia. The article was properly deleted as well, in accordance with WP:G5. I'm reluctant to override an administrative decision to delete the article on the basis of a request of someone who appears out of the blue with a suspicious username and no other established history. I suggest you ask the deleting administrator Sphilbrick (talk · contribs). ~Anachronist (talk) 16:40, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
I have to agree with Anachronist here: this was a perfectly valid deletion and G5 deletions don't depend on the subject being non-notable. We do sometimes restore pages deleted under G5 if an experienced editor is prepared to take responsibility for them but this request is from a new account with no editing history. I suggest that anyone who wants us to have an article on this subject write a clean version. I'd be prepared to provide the sources from the deleted version to help with this. Hut 8.5 19:06, 4 December 2017 (UTC)
@Anachronist, Hut 8.5, and Sphilbrick: An archived version of the page appears to be sufficiently sourced so as to satisfy notability and well-written enough to satisfy tone. I'm not sure what "taking responsibility" for the article would entail (given WP:OWN), but G5 notwithstanding I would support restoring the deleted article based on its contents. Gordon P. Hemsley 23:50, 9 December 2017 (UTC)
I can support a restoration to a user page, but obviously not to Bcdesignco.--S Philbrick(Talk) 00:20, 10 December 2017 (UTC)
WP:PROXYING: Editors who reinstate edits made by a banned or blocked editor take complete responsibility for the content. So if it turns out to be (say) a copyright violation then it will be treated as if you posted a copyright violation. I don't like restoring content written by banned/blocked users as it encourages the banned/blocked editor to carry on evading the ban, but I won't object if someone else wants to restore it for you. The Graduate Institute

I, Conscioustwit, request the undeletion of this draft or Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD G13. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. Conscioustwit (talk) 00:31, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

Not done, nothing to do. The article isn't deleted.
There is a deleted draft at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/The Graduate Institute. Is there a reason you want that restored, when there's already a live article in main space? ~Anachronist (talk) 02:07, 30 November 2017 (UTC)

The article was indeed deleted. Would like it restored. There is NOT a live article in the main space. The live article in the Main space is a different school. The created page with 'The Graduate Institute is the nickname of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies [1]in Geneva. The draft by conscioustwit is for a different The Graduate Institute - in Bethany, CT. Conscioustwit —Preceding undated comment added 23:36, 2 December 2017 (UTC)

  • If it wasn't deleted, please provide link to where it was redirected. I don't think you can because I don't believe it was redirected. Instead it was deleted. Please restore. (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:18, 3 December 2017 (UTC)
    • Two completely different schools used articles of creation/the graduate institute at different times. The one I'm looking for WAS deleted. The other one was not and is still available with a redirect. Here is the first move from TGI to The Graduate Institute 12/24/2014.:

The Graduate Institute I am looking for is located in Bethany, CT. The Graduate Institute I am NOT looking for is in Geneva.
