The result of the discussion was rename the template. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 21:10, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Gadget850 talk 16:57, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
Rename to {{Cite AV media notes}} to match {{Cite AV media}}; expand scope to notes for all audio and visual works. The template already supports the parameters, the documentation simply needs to be updated. Gadget850 talk 16:28, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment - I'm confused. You want to rename "Cite AV media" to match "Cite AV media"? Neelix (talk) 16:40, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Facepalm Hit the button on the wrong template. Fixed. -- Gadget850 talk 16:59, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

- Comment - Why? This template seems specifically to be for album notes, and I cannot see the value in expanding to encompass other material. Did you have a specific use in mind for the expanded version? — Huntster (t @ c) 21:59, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- I want to eventually migrate {{Cite DVD-notes}}, which has only ~400 uses. But it would encompass notes for all audio and video media. This is pretty much the rationale for changing {{cite video}} to {{cite AV media}}. -- Gadget850 talk 22:12, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Understood. I'd never run into DVD-notes before. Seems reasonable, now. — Huntster (t @ c) 23:15, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

- Support. Seems logical enough after being explained. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 02:46, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment Not necessarily against merging, but would it perhaps be better to merge it into {{Cite music release notes}}? Seems like it would have more in common with that template. A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 22:43, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
- {{Cite music release notes}} has ~1000 uses and {{Cite album-notes}} has > 5000. I'll look at merging {{Cite music release notes}} down the road. -- Gadget850 talk 02:29, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough. A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 15:07, 20 July 2013 (UTC)

- Support renaming to Cite AV media notes. Lachlan Foley (talk) 00:38, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- Not a TfD matter JFDI (but Support in general). Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:03, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- Question. Is there any reason why the unique functionality of
{{cite album-notes}}
shouldn't just be merged into{{cite AV media}}
? Seems to me that there is a lot of commonality there.—Trappist the monk (talk) 19:42, 20 July 2013 (UTC)- I thought about it, but 'title' is handled very differently between the two templates, and there is an additional 'notestitle'. -- Gadget850 talk 20:27, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support renaming seems like good housekeeping.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:01, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
- support, not best place to discuss but support. — Lil_℧niquℇ №1 [talk] 22:44, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support rename, consistency is one of Wikipedia's greatest needs and yet there's so little of it. LazyBastardGuy 03:43, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support rename but, as Andy rightly said, this is not a matter for TfD. Indeed, I spotted this because a number of good articles I keep an eye on suddenly had TfD notices in the References section flash up. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 10:29, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Wrong venue (I got a little startled when I saw this on the reference), but support rename. — Statυs (talk, contribs) 22:41, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- I took off the deletion inscription from template page because this is a renaming, not deletion, and this message looks hindering on 5000 pages where the template is used. --demistalk 00:11, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was merge with Template:Streets in Toronto. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 21:21, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
- Template:Toronto Trails (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Redundant to {{Canadian Trails}} and/or {{Toronto landmarks}}. Those other templates are everywhere this one is used. Secondarywaltz (talk) 03:39, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment Epson291 (talk · contribs) added it to the Canadian template yesterday [1] ; and they are not hiking trails, unlike what the purpose of the Canadian template is, so should be removed. -- 76.65.128.222 (talk) 04:58, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment - I'm unsure what the best course of action is, either to keep, merging into streets in Toronto isn't bad either. I did add it to Canadian Trails yesterday, but regarding that, they're not hiking trails but they are ("urban") bike trails. The only problem with the Canadian template is it doesn't differentiate with every other trail in Canada, and with the Toronto landmarks it doesn't separate it from parks. - Epson291 (talk) 13:49, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Comment 2 I do see that the other trails in the list are much larger non-city kind of trails - Epson291 (talk) 13:53, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
