School Rumble is a Japanese Shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Jin Kobayashi. It was first serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine from October 22, 2002 to July 23, 2008, and later published in 22 tankōbon volumes by Kodansha. Magazine Special published a parallel world story, School Rumble Z, monthly from August 20, 2008 to May 20, 2009. School Rumble focuses on a love triangle involving the series' two protagonists, Kenji Harima and Tenma Tsukamoto, and one of their classmates, Oji Karasuma. The series often discards realism in favor of comedic effect. Two anime series were made: the first running from October 2004 to April 2005 and the second running from April to September 2006. There have also been two OAV adaptations, as well as three video games made for the series. (Full article...)

- Reasons for nomination: If this were to be featured on the front page, it will be my first TFA. I used to be a semi-major editor to the page, right until it was promoted to Featured Article status back in 2010. While not one of WikiProject Anime and manga's most vital articles, it currently is ranked Mid-importance in our assessment scale. I actually nominated this article for TFA two years ago, which was supposed to be in time for the manga's 10th anniversary, but it was not accepted because of some problems with ISBN citations. However, such problems should be easily fixed by editors should there be some interest (possibly in time for this becoming a TFA). While I'm not requesting any specific date, an October 10 date or somewhere near that date would be much appreciated, as it is the 10th anniversary of the anime adaptation's premiere. Another possible date would be November 30, as that is the birthday of the series' lead heroine Tenma Tsukamoto, but since character birthdays are usually considered fancruft or trivia, I'm not sure if the latter would be a good idea. Finally, the main reason I'm requesting this is because, the Anime and Manga WikiProject has not had an article on the front page for several years now, and given that I feel that the WikiProject needs some more advertising, a featured article would be good for the project.

- Support; unfortunately October 10 is already occupied, but I support this for any date in the near future - I think one in the near vicinity of the 10th anniversary would be fine. Tezero (talk) 00:15, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
