This course covers the social characteristics of the poor, the impact of poverty on personal life chances, and the social consequences of poverty. This course is also taught using a Team-Based learning approach so the class will operate teams of 5 or 6 students each. Teams will be responsible for creating or editing a Wikipedia page as the final class project.
