Article Requests (WikiProject:Software only)

[edit]

Here I find, there's no dedicated section for requesting articles for topics, which are yet to be covered. Some of them were covered before, and then deleted for improper practice, advertisements, importance-less-ness etc.

Some of those topics are indeed important enough for WikiProject:Software, and should be given a life (or brought to life).

Situations may come when it leads to a debate among the editors and admins, most of the time the debates are upped by the mods. But just to keep it fairer, we need a article-banner which says that it is a requested article and not to be deleted (or to be requested for deletion) without having a discussion in here - with the WP:SW contributors. If here it's decided unworthy, it can be deleted, otherwise the article stays with the banner (updated with the summery conclusion - telling why the deletion proposal failed last time - and the discussion link). Once the article is mature enough, the banner can be lifted off.

(Sorry for being so mean - for not adding the appropriate links - but please bear with my schedule. Hope, to whom the message I want to convey, are expert enough to understand WP:SW or speedy-deletion etc. without back-links)

Perhaps you could list the articles at Wikipedia:Requested articles/Applied arts and sciences/Computer science, computing, and Internet. --Pnm (talk) 00:33, 3 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
