Tire Regulation

[edit]

On 21 March, D1GP changes tire allocation rules.[4]

Under the new regulation, tires allocation for each round is limited to :

  • 2 tires set for Friday practice session. If a third tire set is used for practice session, a 10 points deduction will be applied to Solo Run score.
  • 4 tires set + 1 tire set (for finals) for Saturday and Sunday competition. Tire set used in morning check-run had to be used in Solo Run.
  • An extra 1 tire set will be added for Autopolis and Tsukuba round.

Scoring Regulation

[edit]

For this season the tires of the car had to be inside the clipping point as opposed to only body parts in previous season. This is to prevent teams and drivers fitting an overly extended parts on the car.
