Chikan != groping
[edit]Edited the description of the Japanese word. "Chikan" in Japanese does not refer to groping, frotteurism or any other specific sexual behavior, it just generically means any act of sexual molestation (and/or the perpetrator thereof), with the added connotation of it happening in a public place. You may refer to any online translator to confirm (e.g. http://www.freedict.com/onldict/onldict.php) or for much deeper confirmation, run the Japanese Wikipedia page for "Chikan" (痴漢) through Google translate: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fja.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2F%25E7%2597%25B4%25E6%25BC%25A2 Flj529 (talk) 03:16, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- The following (japanese language) page from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police dept. is also quite informative (and is a bit more readable when run through Google Translate): http://www.keishicho.metro.tokyo.jp/kouhoushi/no1/koramu/koramu3.htm —Preceding unsigned comment added by Flj529 (talk • contribs) 06:19, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

(I'd like to add that as a reference somewhere, but I'm not sure what the appropriate place would be. Is referencing on a disambiguation page as opposed to an article considered appropriate?). Flj529 (talk) 02:27, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
