Signature suggestion
I happened to notice your signature somewhere, and realized it could be streamlined a little bit.
Here's your current sig, which is 252 characters:
- asenine say what?
<i><font face="Trebuchet MS"><FONT COLOR="#4682b4">a</FONT><FONT COLOR="#5c9cc7">s</FONT><FONT COLOR="#72b5d9">e</FONT><FONT COLOR="#87ceeb">nine</FONT> <FONT COLOR="#72b5d9">say what?</FONT></font></i>
Here's a slightly refined version, which is 247 characters:
- asenine say what?
<em style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><font color="#4682b4">a</font><font color="#5c9cc7">s</font><font color="#72b5d9">e</font><font color="#87ceeb">nine</font> say what?</em>
Yeah, not much of a savings as far as the character count is concerned, but it looks much shorter in the editing and diff windows, and uncapping all the font tags helps to draw less attention to it.
Anyway, feel free to ignore this; I was just bored and thought I'd pop over with my results. :) EVula // talk // ☯ // 21:29, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Weird, I was just coming here to comment about your signature. I was going to say that I have a hard time reading your signature (probably my monitor). The color you chose is very very bright and hard to read on my PC, and I can only assume others as well. Have you given much or any thought to changing it to something with higher contrast? - It's probably just my ancient monitor. No worries my friend, you can do what you wish. I just found it ironic that I showed up here with a similar issue as another editor. Cheers, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 21:52, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Asenine, I just saw your sig over on EVula's talk in the barnstar. I was gonna um... comment that it becomes very hard to read as the name "fades". Although it looks cool, and I know who you are so it doesn't really matter for me. Though I agree, tough to see. Gwynand | Talk•Contribs 22:03, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I saw your responses on Keepers talk, dont want to make you go around explaining yourself to everyone. I've been complaining about a few sigs recently to be honest, yours isnt that bad, my macbook screen is sometimes too bright, my fault, not yours. Gwynand | Talk•Contribs 22:05, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
- Interesting, I'm on a Mac as well (I knew there was something I liked about you, Gwynand), and I don't have much trouble seeing it, though I will confess to it being a bit lighter than I personally would pick (but then again, I'm a "less is more" guy, as evidenced by my own sig). My recent RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace and talk space, so that is what I will do. I have made a list and I hope I will be able to get through it. I will go for another RfA in about three month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been about three months. I will not be checking back to this page so if you would like to comment or reply please use my talk page. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:50, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
I noticed that you placed the "tone" tag on this article. The tag directs editors to look at the talk page for a discussion of the reason. Could you please explain which part of the section you consider inappropriate.
The heading of the particular section is "Leonardo the Legend". It attempts to look at the phenomena of Leonardo's popular appeal, which has existed since his own lifetime, and has never abated. (He was regarded a bit like one of the "living treasures" of Japan.) The section is backed up by many citations and 9 (I think it is) direct quotations. The statements that have been written about him are often very exaggerated, but that is the way it is. Amandajm (talk) 07:16, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Numerous edits completed to references, sources, and notibility requirements. Strong references now included for radio play, a national tour, and links to other Portuguese bands. Please have another look, and I welcome your further comments. Altlusa (talk) 12:59, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
