Marking large additions or removals of content as minor
Hi. I've just noticed that you regularly remove or add content and mark them as minor edits. I saw you removing duplicate citations from Yeat and marking them as minor, then looked at your contributions and saw you recently mark several additions of thousands of bytes to article space as minor. I don't think I need to remind a user who's been here for 10 years of this, but per Help:Minor edit, anything larger than a change of a few bytes should not be marked as minor. Thanks. Ss112 11:01, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Ss112: yeah sorry, it's just muscle memory. I realize it like every once in a while. I figure it's not that deep of an issue since I'm not being disruptive with my edits, but gotcha. I'll try to change that habit. Soulbust (talk) 05:58, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
Rene Rechtman
Hi Soulbust, my name is Eloise, it's nice to meet you. I've been working on a draft for René Rechtman, the founder and CEO of Moonbug Entertainment. As a member of WP:YTP I thought you might be willing to take a look. I have a COI and am therefore not moving the draft to mainspace myself, but if you think it's ready to be included, please feel free to publish it! Looking forward to your thoughts, Eloise Moonbug (talk) 10:35, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

- Hi Soulbust, regarding your comments on your c/e request here, I understand the need to remove some of the less-pertinent text but I don't usually get involved with content if I can help it. I have, however, removed much of the uncited text in that section per policies BLP and CITE, which should at least partly address the problem of UNDUE. I hope the c/e is useful for you. Cheers, Baffle☿gab 03:43, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
Hey Soulbust! I've been doing a small project on wiki, trimming YouTuber articles of their awful primaries (e.g. Bill Wurtz, Vsauce, ProZD, Gigguk, and others), so I'm happy to rid jacksfilms of the fancruft. But, do you still want a typical readthrough / copyedit, or just a trim of the bad stuff? Thanks — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 04:49, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi! If it's not too much a typical readthrough / copyedit would be nice but I do think trimming out the bad stuff will work just fine for the jacksfilms article. It's just gotten out of hand over the years. Trimming out the bad should go a long way for this article. Also thanks for doing (or planning to do, not sure if you have gotten to it) Vsauce. I was actually gonna request a copyedit for that one soon so I appreciate it. Thanks for all your help Soulbust (talk) 05:10, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- I've finished trimming the overgrown bush. Totally fine with completing a normal copyedit as well so will do that soon . I did do a trimming on Vsauce, but there's certainly a lot more to be done in terms of verifiability and stuffs. Let me know if there are any similar articles needing a fix— trimming them is rather satisfying, honestly. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 05:18, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for looking through the article. I created a bunch of YouTubers' pages (especially from 2012-2014) and a whole lot of them have gotten fancrufty over the years, so I appreciate you going through trimming.
- I'll get back to you if I find any other YouTuber articles that need some work for sure. Thanks again! :) Soulbust (talk) 08:17, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you, sounds good! By the way, I've completed a look-over of the prose for jacksfilms, so I marked it as complete at WP:GOCER. — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 14:39, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
