User talk:Zamarin
Dear GPL93,
Thank you for your reply.
I was a student of Dr. Zouhair Amarin and I wish to publish an article about him. Therefore, this is not an Autobiography.
I would kindly ask for you to re-evaluate and consider this article for publication.
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Zamarin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Draft:Zouhair Amarin, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.
The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Zamarin. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Zouhair_Amarin, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template)—don't forget to give details of reliable sources supporting your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

- Dear UtherSRG,

- I was a student of Dr. Zouhair Amarin and I wish to publish an article about him. Therefore, this is not an Autobiography.
- I would kindly ask for you to re-evaluate and consider this article for publication. Zamarin (talk) 15:20, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
If you are not Zouhair Amarin why have you chosen his name as your user name? Theroadislong (talk) 15:55, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- I chose my username, “Zouhair Amarin,” as a reference to the subject I am writing about. However, I understand that this choice might raise concerns about neutrality. Please be assured that my intention is to contribute objectively and in line with Wikipedia’s guidelines.
- Thank you for your understanding and for the opportunity to clarify. Zamarin (talk) 16:07, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
- Please request a name change or you are likely to be blocked for impersonating someone. Theroadislong (talk) 16:09, 16 August 2024 (UTC)
